Particles 3 (Poser plug-in) creates animated fire, chaotic water, pixie dust.  I use it a lot!

Elefont extrudes text & webdings into 3D objects - it often has a few vertices misplaced, and the mesh exports in .dxf format, so it's good to have a modeler program to adjust if needed and to re-export in .obj format.  (standalone)
