Upper right abdomen is the top of your kidney and you're describing what I have a LOT of experience with. Kidney Stones! Go See your Doctor! It could also be appendicitis, which I've also had and since I was so used to having kidney stones that's what I thought it was when I had mine removed. Seriously, if you're having pain like that, go to the ER or your doctor.
