Why start a new thread? Does any one know of a good tute for adding stuff to DAZ? I have downloaded a few things, but have been unable to add them to my available items/stuff. I am on a hard learning curve, here. JUST started playing with DAZ. Everything I've added so far was through DAZ, so it automatically appears in the left pane with everything else. Once the items are "added", I'm okay...
Thanks in advance. Sorry for the noob questions...

Quote - Unzip the content to the folder you point the DAZ installers to and everything should slot into place.
I did this. Nothing is there. Should it just "show up" if I've unzipped them to the right place?
*** I should make note: I had the DAZ1 installed (C:Program FilesDAZStudio). Then I got the new DAZ3 and installed it. It made a new directory: C:Program FilesDAZ 3DDAZStudio3. I have been putting everything in the new directory. Right? Wrong? Help??? :-(

GreenHawke- now your next step will be to set up a poser runtime (if you dont have poser already) so that you can download the content pathed for poser and use it in Daz studio. I have Poser 5 so I just have the directory point to that and am not sure how to set up a Poser runtime within Daz/Studio/content . but im going to guess here - Just set up a file system C: Program files/Poser7/Runtime/ (then branch from there) - Point directory to Poser 7 file in Program files. Not sure how the Poser exe. comes into play here though. mabe someone else can expand or correct my attempt to help you install content zipped for poser.

I'm sure this subject has been beat to death. I have been looking for some free, basic clothing for Victoria4 and Michael4. Everything I've found either requires a giant leap in my knowledge base, or the purchase of clothing or a new program.
I'm currently experimenting around with DAZ3 and frustrated with the lack of clothing, limiting what I can do and how far I can go. I expect in the not-to-distant future I will be able to buy some items, but for now, that's not possible. I find myself very frustrated.
Free clothes any where?
Kevin
