Can you please post your answer here from Daz?  I have Vista too and i'm having a horrible time with access/restriction problems - and transferring/installing files stored on my external drive - its a royal pain in the arse - i'm so not used to vista and its driving me crazy. Please keep us posted on what you find out, and thank u for posting these questions/answers - as its really helping me too (and i'm sure others)
