Subject: anyone having trouble with poser 8 and vista?

No no NO! Not in a folder titled 'Poser.exe'. That won't work!

Find the runtime folder where you want the content to be installed. That must be inside another folder - for the sake of argument we'll say it's called XYZ. Make a new text document and name it 'Poser.exe' and put it in the 'XYZ' folder. If it ends up with the .txt extension, take that off. The text file must be named 'Poser.exe.' This fools the DAZ installer into thinking that this is the folder it needs. So, to recap: inside your 'XYZ' folder should be a runtime folder and a file called 'Poser.exe'.
