Nope. The Library GUI talks to Poser locally, over the loopback connection, not over the Internet. TCP is not equal to the Internet.
I explained in many threads and am not going to explain it again. I just don't want people to start freaking out about P8 requiring Internet access again.
The Library does not connect to anything on the Internet.
By analogy, if you're in your bedroom, you have to go through the bedroom door to get into the hall, as well as to get out of your house. Opening the bedroom door is necessary whether you're going into the hall or going to the airport. But to get to the airport, you have to go outside your house as well. Your TCP loopback is like the house, and the Internet is like outside your house. Poser doesn't go outside your house.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
