The basic operation to create a "Map" for an object *(prop or figure)* in Poser is:

1.  Poser - Export the object from Poser to a Wavefront OBJect file (.obj)

  1. UVMapper - Load the "Model" (.obj) file into UVMapper

  2. UVMapper - Create the UV map in UVMapper

  3. UVMapper - Save the "Model" from UVMapper

  4. UVMapper - Save the "Texture Map*" from UVMapper
*(note - UVMapper calls it a Texture Map but we call it a UV Map)
(because we have not "textured" it yet)

  5. "Paint" - Load the UV Map ("Texture Map" from UV Mapper) into a "Paint" program

  6. "Paint" - "Paint" on the UV Map to create the Texture Map

  7. "Paint" - Save the Texture Map from the Paint program

9.  Poser - Load the Texture Map into Poser and apply it to the prop object or figure

These are the basic steps to produce a texture map for something in Poser.

Next ...
We will create a new simple "Model" (prop object) using UVMapper.

Remember ... "With Poser, all things are possible, and poseable!"
