Oh, boy...surf casting! Learned the casting technique a year ago out on the end of Long Island, New York. What were they catching and how big...if you know?
Tara, your book case is SO neat and the mirrow is just what I would have expected:) Love the reflections.

Am I looking directly into the living room, or is there a hallway between the kitchen and the living room? Oh - maybe the dining room?
This is a very clever arrangement, my friend! When I want to be on the computer and watch golf at the same time, I have to use a laptop in the living room, which makes me a little crazy.

Bill - you mostly catch (and this is the afrikaans names which will not help you one little bit) kabeljou, steenbra and galjoen... Hiehie...
The biggest catch this holiday was 'n very nice 8kg steenbra... Huge!
I will find out the english names but not now. It is still fairly early but I have been infront of the laptop the whole day and my eyes are sqare....
Here is a pic of a much smaller steenbra! I cannot lay my hands on the big one now!
Please note all - this is for Bill to see... The picture below should contain something in YOUR kitchen!!!!

Man, I'll tell you what. I COMBED my files looking for images of candles, and couldn't find a thing. Then ... suddenly ... I remembered I've got one in my "waiting to post" file! Sheesh. I've looked at that thing every day since MooseRidge! There's a reason they call it "mental-pause!" LOL!
The picture below me is your next snack/meal/beverage ... take a picture of it before you gobble it up! :)

Beverage: Just a wee nip before retiring :D I've had this unopened for a long time.
Today I got reading a digital photo book on the subject of DSLR settings for use of the flash...OMG, a whole new world. I tried all kinds of flash settings on my beverage...the blinding white flash is now a thing of the past.
The picture below me contains a mirror.

My niece has glasses in a hutch in her dining room, and there's a mirror on the back of the inside of the hutch.
Good grief ... that was a LOT of blah blah for something that's probably obvious!

Aren't you glad you asked? LOL!
The picture below me is something you've been thinking of getting rid of.

Ref my photo, my house is spotless...except the garage. During remodeling in 2007, I packed up everything I didn't want in the house...here it sits. Spring yard sale should relieve the burden:)
How did you know I had things to get rid of? The fact my car sits in the driveway is a bit of a give away.

This is Trent and David in their new project house. (I said, "go over there and stand by the window and pose!") They've been together about 12 years, I think. Somewhere in that neighborhood.
The picture below me contains something you find to be elegant.

Ag Helle! I cannot believe people eat snails, but they do, and it's disgusting! We kill them in our gardens, with or without shells. I don't care how much of a delicacy they are, I WILL NOT eat them!
I wonder about the one second from the bottom. I did not know you were married to a snail!!????!! Now THAT is ODD! :P

AHHHAHAHA! Sometimes I feel I am, when we shall have a walk together. LOL !
No that one was Pers Snail in a competition of which snail could "run" fastest LOL !
Tara, would you believe it, when I tell you, you could fill 2 buckets of edible snails from our garden and some of them are OLD I tell you. I dont even kill a slug. LOL ! I have to walk carefully not to crunch them with my feet. :-b Maybe you would believe it, if you remember the photo I posted in july 2007....

Oh yes, I remember that! It was the first thing I thought of when I saw your image here. I have given up with the garden and the slugs. Anything growing in my garden now is something slugs don't like to eat. Weeds, mostly. LOL! That's how you can tell a flower from a weed here in the Northwest ... if it's a weed, the slugs won't eat it. The prettier and more valuable the flower, the more the slugs like to eat it down to the ground. So if it disappears, it was a flower.

Well Garden work is not my cup of tea either, but my garden is big, so there is room for the snails too :-)))
I love flowers, so I just HAVE to work in the garden to get some. DARN ! :) Slugs and snails are not the biggest problem in my garden. The roes are. They eat much more than the slugs. My veggies my pelargonias, berries, lilac... and much more. But i still love them and often Magnus screem them out---that is if he doesnt SLEEEPP. LOL Lazy doggie.
What is a roe? I could not find that word when I looked it up (except for fish eggs, which I knew about, but I don't think fish eggs are much of a garden pest!). Perhaps it is a Danish word to describe something I might recognise?
"If your pictures aren't good enough, you're not close enough." ... Robert Capa
I don't think this counts as something odd! LOL! It's just a deer fence. Sorry to co-opt the thread for this ...
Helle still wants to see something ODD.
"If your pictures aren't good enough, you're not close enough." ... Robert Capa
Yes it is just about what we had to do too. Just, I dont think it looks really nice, does it? We only need one fence, because the roe deer is so little, but all my flowers on the front of my house are impossible to use fence on.... and that would really look ODD LOL ! Yes, thy come that close to our house. You have seen it in my gallery. Sometimes they even ignore the yelling little hysterical doggie behind the glass.
YES I still ask for something ODD !!!
