Subject: Mesh showing through textures in rendering -DS3?

wespose ( ) posted Mon, 02 November 2009 at 10:48 AM · edited Thu, 28 November 2024 at 3:40 PM

This is weird .....I rendered Sparky'sworld French village and then the Interior Construction Kit's obj. imports(which has tileable textures) ...Im getting the wireframe showing through the texture after being rendered ...Ive adjusted several settings ....converted an object to subd and it fixed it for that one but I cannot do that for all the props because some get destroyed by it. Has anyone else had this problem or have any insight as to why some props are rendering with the wireframe showing through?

Environment lights do seem to cause the mesh divisions to show up on some items - try lowering the Shading rate in the Advanced tab of the Render settings dialogue, and make a bug report

Alright , I lowered the shading rateto .5, I had it at 1.0, still mesh is showing through. Tried different quality presets , contrast presets, AO strenghths, IBL saturation strengths, ..no fix. If I render with Uber environment lights textures are all correct , but requires more ram for scene setup and more cpu for rendering, which means less props and figures.....where do I make a bug report for these lights. I cant find it at Daz?

You need a bug tracker account (it's separate from the store/forum login) and then you can select DAZ Studio from the project list at top-right of the page and make your report. There should be a link to the bugtracker in the Help menu.
