Subject: dynamic hair collision detection not working?

wackymidget ( ) posted Sun, 01 November 2009 at 6:21 PM · edited Sun, 01 December 2024 at 3:49 AM

Hi,

I was doing some tests with dynamic hair, but I can't get collision detection to work. I checked the checkbox and run calculate, but the hair just falls through the figure :(
I'm using Stephanie Petite with a skullcap and hair length of something like 1.5.
I was wondering if anybody else has the same problem, or am I doing something wrong?

Also how do I change hair color?

BTW I'm running Poser 8 on a Mac.

You can also check collisions on separate body parts in the properties tab.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm currently at work, while the simulation is running at home. I'll let you know if it works.
I did not check collision detection for the bodyparts before, just in the hair room.

Also I noticed that the hair simulation starts with draping. However, even if all the guide hairs are down (I set the dial for pull down to 1) when it starts draping, some of the hairs jump up and then slowly fall down.
Any way to fix this?

Thanks!

Just checked the simulation and the collision problem is solved. Thanks everyone for their help!
