Poser 7 and 8, thirteen runtimes, a custom texture folder (modifications to commercial texture sets for personal use only and my own creations), separate runtimes to copy over to the Poser folders (for Mil 4 figures and Python scripts that work in Poser 8 only). My runtimes are on an external hard drive on it's own partition so Norton Ghost can back it up easier. Those backups are copied to DVD (dual layer) discs as well as an uncompressed version. I can't imagine having to reinstall everything again. It would be impossible since my folders have undergone major reorganization for about 10 years.
My Props runtime was so large I split it up into four runtimes for easier backup to disc: buildings and larger sets are in a Set runtime; nature items such as trees or plants; props just items for a scene that don't fall into a set category; vehicles; and weapons.
Mil figures 2-4 are in their own runtimes, but the Mil3 and Mil4 runtimes used to be Men3/Women3 and the same for the Mil4 figures only it got to be a real pain switching back and forth in Poser7 so I merged them. I stuck Apollo Max in with the Mil3 figures even though he isn't one.
Creatures and Characters are combined with characters being non-DAZ figures or figures not based on any of the Mil figures. Animals are in their own runtime.
I'm thinking of breaking up my Sets runtime into other runtimes specifically buildings since I use them the most. I made all of the subfolders consistent among the other library folders in each runtime so it is easier to find things. Such as in the Sets runtime, if there are mat files that go with a character then the folder will have the same name in Materials or Pose as it does in Character.
The most tedious way I've found to move items is to open the character/prop files in a text editor and find all the OBJ's or JPG's that are associated with it and move them. If I had to reinstall everything again it would take several months or a year.
