"Taxi Driver" looked plausible. "Brother from Another Planet" featured pretty reasonable Harlem settings. I wonder where it was shot... it was so long ago I can't remember how much was done with sets and how much on locations. The movie "Happy Accidents" looked very much like actual workaday New York City.
