I thought the dot pitch would be a problem also.But it's not.I have a 22in wide screen and with my glasses(brand new) I'd still have to squint to see some of the small areas in a scene....not no more.Not a 27 in it's a 42 in.Turn font size up to 138-150 and i can read everything even with out glasses.(hell gettin old)Trying to talk wife into buy 2 more for me and a 5870 video card and run eyefinity....so far no luck.hehehehe.
Modeling is way easier for me  with this screen size jack the quality and anti-aliasing plus everything else to max it looks fine.Slightly jagged,way better than squinting.
