that's a good idea about him changing 3dcommune to a subscription site, as I think that worked for the porno site.  somebody should ask him if he likes that.  but they've been predicting the demise of this site every 3 - 6 months for the last 11 years.  they leave in disgust, then come back.  usually the precipitating event is a warning from one of the mods about TOS violations, but now there's an element of economic turmoil.  can't say what will happen in future, but currently in silicon heaven it's acquisition time, everywhere I look.
