If your animating, farm it!
Get any rendering application that can farm the load in the format your animation is in.
Theres plenty and they're all good, many have been listed prev.

Second best or even last best machines give good bang for buck if you throw enough of em at the task.
Single machine rendering is not realy viable for animation, only still images.
