Windows 7 is what Vista should have been.
I've heard rumors that Vista was pushed out to the market prematurely, that W7 was what the Vista developers had in mind - and finally realized.
Quite happy with Windows 7 here.
By the way, a Windows OS without all the nannyware - it exists. 2008 Server Core. But you lose the GUI.
Good idea, actually, why should one have a complex, CPU and RAM consuming GUI on a server? They're all managed remotely anyway.
The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter
