This depends on the artist. I have been in both worlds for a while and i make more with my 2d than my 3d. I am a beginner at heart. I have only been doing clothing textures for about a year and i have alot of growth to do. I have been doing 2d since 1996 doing websites. You have to show the world what you can do. Think out of the box. do something everyone else is not doing. Most clipart or tube artist are posing figures and slapping a price on them. NOT MUCH CREATIVITY! I was told recently that i have the talent and i need to think outside the box. Create something new, stand out., She was right. There are to many artists doing the same thing. This is what my goal for 2010 is. How can i take my product a give it a kick. Do the research. See what others are doing then take that and do something NEW with it.
The 2d world wants a new kick not the same old stuff!!!
