heyas; my reason? the material editor makes SENSE. if i want colour in vertical wavy lines, i can find/make a function with vertical wavy lines. i dont have to poke through a bunch of bryce presets trying to find something that remotely looks like what i want, and mixing it with something else i kinda remotely want, and then finding one with the right colour. that was the most ridiculous thing....! i had better luck hitting the random texture generator. (that was cool, though.) in all fairness, i think bryce's terrain editor is better than vue's. the scatter objects deal is better than vue's. the clouds in the sky editor... were a little more intuitive, i think. oh, and vue is faster. i had bryce 2 and it was SO slow, i told meta back then that if the bryce 3 demo didnt move its butt faster, i wasnt gonna upgrade. i mean, we're talking a matter of minutes between clicking on something and it highlighting to show it was clicked on. the stupid 3 demo was also slow, so i said the heck with it. so i worked in bryce 2 until i discovered vue 3. :)
