Look at the tail:
With the original settings(right), you can still see the underlying mesh.
With my new "Poser 8" settings the fur will hide the mesh again like it should.
The solution is easy, but a bit tiresome:
Set hair width to "2" and "8" instead of "1" and "1.2" for every hair prop. (Some bodyparts have several hair props so use the "props" list to find them all)
Then resafe the modified figure.
To create other breeds, open the modified cr2 with a text editor and switch the texture map.
Then resafe again.
As I said, a bit tiresome, but on the upside, Poser 8 renders dynamic hair A LOT faster than any other version of Poser.
