Metaballs can only be booleaned with other metaballs, they don't interact with other Bryce objects. And checking the "+" or "-" in a metaball attribute box has no effect. You create a negative metaball by holding down the shift key when you create a metaball. Probably not the answer you were hoping for, but I hope that helps...

Thanks to you all for the answer! I can still do what I wanted, but it will be more difficult using negative metaballs.
Thanks very much!!!

Just checked that out. MAN! That is really impressive work! And, yes Bryster, it IS motivating, but WOW! What a task... I guess I need to give a new look at metaballs...
Wow! I cant's get over what a great job on that wheel!

Hi All!
I have a question about Meta Balls. I made the hull of a ship using Meta Balls for the way they kind of meld together. I made sure they were all (+) and then attempted to make an opening using an elongated cube that was (-). And no opening. Do meta balls not work like other Bryce shapes? I have about 8 meta balls that make up the hull. Each one is (+) and then I grouped them together and made the group (+). After that, I added the (-) cube and it was as if I had done nothing but added the cube to the structure.
Does any one know what gives here?
Thanks in advance!
Kevin
