I´m considering buying Vue 8 and I´m a bit confused about the different versions.  I mainly want to use Vue to create atmosphere around my Poser characters so I was aiming for Vue 8 Frontier.  Then I noticed that the Esprit version has a RenderUp module that gives more speed and control over your renders (?) and an 3D import module.  Here's a line from the RenderUp description:

"RenderUp lifts the render resolution limit of Vue 8 Esprit by letting you render images as large as your system resources allow"

So I was wondering, how limited is the Frontier version?   Is there a resolution limit?  Will I have any control over indirect lighting?  Is there indirect lighting? :)

Any advice or info appreciated!

Many reasons for this but yes, import and render tweaking make a BIG difference.

Esprit is a bit out my price range at the moment. I suppose I could buy the Frontier version first and then add the RenderUp and Import modules later.  It will be a bit more expensive but I'd be able to play with SkinVue8 for now.

Yes - that's a good way to go and probably one of the reasons that e-on made the modules.  Software a la carte.  If you get Frontier, make sure to sign up for the Cornucopia newsletter.  The modules come on sale on a regular basis.

Ok. Thanks for the advice.  Could you (or anyone) point me to some renders done with Vue8 Frontier?  Preferably scenes with Poser characters and SkinVue8...
