Well... let's face it, anyone who is investing in a program of the cost of Poser Pro is probably going to be apprised enough of the situation to know there's an imminent release.

Besides, your scenario would upset existing Poser Pro and P8 dual users. Free? the rest of us dual users are still going to have to pay for the program. We'll just get the cost of the P8 sidegrade discounted.

I think what's most likely is that as we get closer to the release date, the old Poser Pro will get discounted heavily.
