Ive ran Poser 5 on a Pentium 3 with only 386 Megs of PC 133 ram and didnt have this problem. Now granted if I used more than 2 figure in a scene it would run out of virtual memory and crash during rendering. but still I never had any problems with textures or hair props. Hell as it is now Im on a P4 with 1.86 gb of pc 5400 ram and I never have a problem with hair props or textures, I dont think its your hardware.
