Just thought I leave a note.  I've spoken with the DS technical support reps. about the problems with importing (exporting? also) from DS 3Advanced to Bryce.  It was not working for many who spoke about it at Daz forums.  They did tell me they were working on the problem.
A week ago or so I was checking DAZ products for sale, and they were selling a Bryce upgrade called 6.3.  I called sales support, they told me I could upgrade for free since I already had Bryce 6.0 or 6.1.  They reset my downloads and I was able to download Bryce 6.3.  There are some concerns you might want to talk to technical support at Daz regarding having to save certain files before upgrading the 6.1 to 6.3.  They mentioned presets, etc.  I think it mostly referred to anything that did not originally come as part of Bryce, maybe something you imported to your Bryce 6.1.  Contact sales support or technical support at Daz Studio for more information,  I'm new to render programs and they could explain much better than I.  I hope I was helpful though.
