That was my first thought when you mentioned that you have Poser 5. I have poser 8 and I can't imaging going back to anything before that. But if you decide to keep your Poser 5 then you may need to uninstall then reinstall the program. Sometimes programs or a file will become corrupt causing problems like the one you have.
If you have already tried the reinstall method then the only other thing that I think it could be is a registry issue where something in the registry is causing the problem. Most of the time a registry cleaner will fix the those types of problems and they are safer than manually messing with the registry. Just make sure you get a registry cleaner that is reliable and from a reliable source. Don't pick one of those registry software that you may have seen in an annoying pop-up that you didn't ask for. If you have McAffee Internet Security then you already have one. If not then you can go to Cnet.com to look at some reviews and pick a reliable one.

Oh I have no problem upgrading to 7 or 8 If I could. I'll try both of these. I'm still having that problem, so maybe one may help. Thanks!!
