OpenGL preview doesn't always work and SreeD has strange things happen, such as characters' (in the distance) clothing appears shredded. It has no effect other than in the preview mode. I also get a lot more of the "infinite poly" (when a mesh has a poly that appears to go off into inifinty but doesn't really, if you've seen it, you know what I mean). Other than that, I take my laptop with me everywhere and set up some pretty serious scenes. I never use it for rendering more than three figures though as I will get the "not enough memory to load texture or babd texture" error.
drewradley, what are the specs of your Dell Inspiron ?
