Subject: Slightly OT: Running Poser On a Laptop

     Laptops are limited in capacity, but as long as you get/have something reasonably well equipped, it'll do fine.  Dual core would be nice;  RAM would be most important to me;  budget permitting, get the max the chassis/OS will take, usually 4Gb for 32bit OS, or 8Gb for 64bit.

    You certainly can get a dedicated video card in a laptop;  I'd get a OpenGL compliant video card, rather than rely on "on-board" video. 
I like those 1920x1200 pixel screens because they have lots of workspace for control panels. :D
