I don't have a guess on the Mac - I'm not familiar with it. I'm suggesting the indexer because it has often been the culprit on Windows when all apps are slow. I'm not familiar with common reasons for Mac slow-downs, but it doesn't matter if that can't possibly be the reason your Mac is slow. Just because that cannot be your system's cause, doesn't change the fact that it is the reason my PC is (or was) slow.  My PC isn't slow anymore - I disabled the indexer. Two different causes in two different systems can create the same symptom.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
