I don't think upgrading to P8 gives you the free upgrade unless it's the PP owners. Standard version  upgrades don't get it but would if they upgraded to PP now.

That's how I read it. It would help if someone from SM stopped by and explained it better.

Does not matter to me, I have both and the $50 is cheeper all around. That's a good thing. LOL.
