Ok Try this forget about the dpi setting and look at it from the other end. you want a print so you should have 300 dpi right? lets say you wanted it 8" X 10" at 300 dpi. 2400 / 300 dpi = 8" 3000 / 300 dpi = 10" Take the output size you want X the dpi = pixcl so a 8" X 10" image at 300 dpi would be 2400 X 3000.
