I won my copy, otherwise I would have never spent the money to buy it. After playing with it for a week now, I can definitely say that since having poser 8, I would not have spent the money on it. Having GC back is kind of cool, but I'm so used to tweaking with the normal maps feature, that I find that those results much more to my liking then using GC. I know they don't give the same results, but still.
I'm not a 64 bit user and I don't use the library at all. Doing mainly toon work, IDL is hardly being used, so most improvements and features I don't even take advantage off. Using it on a 32 bit system I found it renders slightly slower then Poser 8, using it on a 64 bit system, it renders slightly faster. I know some have experienced much faster rendering times with PP2010 compared to P8, but when times, the difference is not too much. The biggest advantage when using PP2010 is when you have a 64 bit OS with more then 4Gb RAM. It can use everything. If you only have 4Gb RAM or less, even that advantage is out of the window.
All in all, if you need it or not is completely personal. What's in it that you really will use? Is it worth the price to you? To some it is, to others it isn't, but you need to figure that one out yourself. We all can be jumping up and down for joy, while you may ask yourself, why did I spent the money on it? Everyone may dislike it, while you may love it and it's worth every penny or dime to you.
Artwork and 3DToons items, create the perfect place for you toon and other figures!

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(
Food for thought.....
