doggod, not to be uncivil (and really, I honestly do not intend anything here to be uncivil), but you're out of your league here. Bagginsbill - who understands how light works in Poser as well as anybody - responded the way he did because you said a bunch of things that were beyond misleading - they would do nothing but confuse, and they are wildly inaccurate to boot. That isn't helpful to anyone.
The fact that you didn't know that IDL was introduced in Poser 8 was revelation enough that you don't have a handle on what is happening in the application. (That was in fact probably the single biggest improvement in P8 compared to previous versions, so most P8 and newer users are at least aware of it, even if they don't really know how to use it yet.)
I suggest it would be wiser to learn from others - not least the person you're arguing with.
