To tell you the truth I think you will have a very hard time selling any textures now that aren't photorealistic, unless you are a very talented artist. As an example download Symphany's free painted 'Tesoro' in freestuff http://www.renderosity.com/freestuff.ez and take a close look at it. I used it exclusively until the photorealistic ones showed up. Check out SteffyZZ's Asia in the store and the gallery and you'll see what I mean. If you have a digital camera you can photograph one of your friends or yourself and make a texture with that. They are getting cheaper now - some are as low as $30. Sorry to burst your bubble here - of course you don't have to listen to me. ;-) But better to be forwarned.
