 ...and LaurieA...

You know that I strongly disagree with YOU. :)

It's not that I'm not "serious" enough about the hobby, it is that I have dismally failed at every modeling program I have tried including Wings. I've got a wealth of content and textures, so there is no problem with sameness from where I sit. I suspect it is the other artists who see this more than the community viewers. :)

The second part of the equation is, modeling doesn't hold any real interest for me. I'm a photographer, not a painter, which is to say I'm too busy making scenes (many of which I sell regularly) to be interested in something that takes loads of time and has no immediate return.

Don't get me wrong. I'm tickled PINK that YOU want to do what you do! And I have less than no problem paying you to do it (ask any of the several people I've hired to make custom content for me, or the myriad of vendors here who have profited from sales to me.) It's just that I (and I suspect about 99.5% of Poser users) are just that... "users" not "designers." Were it otherwise, I'd do as my friend OBM890 does and do everything in a design program.

Given my mindset, I think you can see why I have no use at all for what I refer to as the "marginal" characters that never garner much support. To me, with my lack of modeling skills, they ARE useless until they gather some real support.

Perhaps I'm the only hack here who can't model, but I strongly suspect I'm in major company (Rendo boasts over 500K members and a couple hundred vendors.).

Again, My $.02
