Not being a texture maker or even an "artist" I do definatly see more of an atraction to the newer "photo-realistic" skin textures, both 'scan created' and 'hand-painted' ones. Throw in a few mild skin imperfections like pours, moles, freckles, or whathaveya and it transforms the model from a "painted maniquin" to an almost touchable image of perfection.
