The grouping tool isn't for grouping like what you want here.
The easiest way of grouping something is to parent everything to a primitive, I usually use the ordinary Poser ball. Then make the ball invisible and you have a "handle" with which you can move all other things up and down and around :)
Parenting is easily done with the hierachy tool because you can drag everything to the ball, thus parenting it to that - and then, at the end, click the little eye to the left of the ball and it's no longer to be seen - but you can still select it in the drop down menu of the scene items, and easily move it around :) (or move it to where you want the things and THEN make it invisible. Doing it from the start removes the rist of forgetting to do so and getting a ball smack in the middle of something L (Yes.. been there, done that!)
PhilC's suggestion works, too, but then you'll get one static new object. Parenting everything to a primitive keeps each part posable :)
