 re: promo images.

Have you calibrated your monitor's gamma? I'm not seeing these sorts of problems in the promo images, nor I suspect, is the Rendo staff. As one who has been through the submission process, let me assure you, their QC is pretty stringent!

re: descriptions.

I don't buy what I don't have any information for. I suggest all buyers do the same. That's the quickest way to get meaningful descriptions. In defense of some of the vendors, English is not the mother tongue of some of them, so I cut slack if the descriptions are terse as long as I can see enough in the promo images.

To answer your questions:

  1. Yes. There is enough good material out there that I can generally find what I want/need.
  2. Yes. The quality of character textures has improved remarkably since V2, and substantially since V3. The use of complex shaders (pioneered here by the work of BB and others) has completely changed the way the newest generation of characters render.
  3. There are. Let me assure you there are. Try submitting a product and see!
  4. I'm happy with the way things are. I don't buy what I deem to be over-priced or poorly done products, and if I get one, I'm the first one at the refund window. To me, this free-market approach is the best encouragement we can give the merchants to produce quality.

In short, I'm hard-put to see what your displeasure is about.
