Ah taking a picture is a good way of explaining it. I normally says the computer is "drawing it" (somehow it sounds a little less stupid in Danish L) 

But generally when I try to sexplain Poser to non-3D savvy people such as my colleagues, I liken it to The Sims. Most have at least heard of that L So it's "like the sims, just better" in my explanation :)

Now try explaining people what it is you're SELLING when it comes to textures and Poser models ect.. and see the blank stares emerge L
