Well hborre nailed it. If it's a hair meant for Ryan you can't conform it to Simon without it being a mess. 

But yes, it can be parented, and with at least short hair, there's really no advantage in conforming it, quite the opposite. Long hair is nice when it's conforming because it'll bend properly when the head bends or the shoulders are twisted.. but for most male hair, which is typically short, parenting is enough.
