I had dual ATI Radeon 4870x cards in CrossFire and could never get them to work properly with Poser regarding OpenGL.  Updated drivers to no avail.  It would crash in preview for certain geometry meshes.  I replaced them with an nVidia Quadro, and no more problem.

I suspect that the ATI drivers lack some facet of the OpenGL protocol which Poser calls upon, but that's just my guess.
