@Biscuits... Thanks for the suggestion. I'm using an EnvSphere for very low ambient lighting, but I'll try your idea anyway to see what happens.

@Anthanasius... Maybe Firefly (not Poser as such) is a little behind other render engines at a similar price point - I can't really comment on that. But as a Poser user I'm quite comfortable with what Firefly gives me, and I have enough confidence that significant improvements are in the pipeline for me to continue to learn how to use it well.

I'm certainly not going to spend any time wondering how green the grass is on the other side of the fence. I'll leave that to more serious artists or geeks than I will ever be!
