A shadow of a different sort...that is exactly what an x-ray is.  This is a kitty who fell from a window two layers to a concrete sidewalk.  We did not know about the injury and saw this beautiful cat limping badly a few days ago.   The owners could not pay to have repairs made.  The break of the bone was pushing past the knee into muscle and tissue there.  So, about 3 weeks after the fall, the kitty is now in a  safe restricted area for its own good with no jumping or climbing. About 3 months will be needed for healing.    The  bones were difficult to refit since this was not a fresh break and a plate and several pins were needed.   When all that is removed, the cat should have a fine leg and be free of pain obviously caused by the broken  leg bone.  Being so close to the knee , the repair required a specialist.
