You could try uninstalling Carrara and trying CCleaner to degarbagify your registry. (It looks for registry hooks that reference software no longer installed or something of that manner.)Then after the registry cleanup, try reinstalling Carrara after that process.
No guarantees, but shouldn't hurt too much to try it.
