I was thinking it was UAC again.

"I went to the C: Program Files(86x)Common Files in Windows 7 only to find there was no DAZ folder there with the dazInstall.ini file in it. So the installer is looking for the Daz folder that isn't even there. It was no wonder I got the error."

is exactly the behavior I'd expect to see with UAC blocking it..... I get it all the time with certain installers.. it's why I stopped using program files if I can avoid it.
