Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 21 6:06 am)
The OBJ2CR2 utility will be able to do it in just a couple of button clicks.

On that page I have:-
Plus there is a link to a Poser 6 freebie at the bottom.
Suitable for Poser 5, Poser 6 & Poser 7, Poser Pro, Poser 8 PC & Mac
Ensure that all Poser service releases are installed.
Now that the pro version of Poser 8 is out I guess I should update the page to include that. However I'm not seeing where it says for Poser 6 only.
Placing the freebie at the bottom of the page was a ploy to encourage folks to scroll down reading the instructions as they go. One lives in hope :)
Theoretically you can do all the work inside Poser. Use the Grouping tool to cut the clothes into suitable groups and use the Hierachy Editor to set up the CR2, then the joint editor to get the joints right. Definitely possible, but a lot of work. OBJ2CR2 makes it easy, but true, it's not free.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.
I have to look at bang for the buck... this one utility (Obj2Cr2) offers an enormous amount of flexibility for just so much clothing! It's one of those must-haves, like Morphing Clothes and Poser File Editor. I seriously use this more than Wardrobe Wizard 2 (by the same wizard)... it is brilliant.
Not top hijack this thread, but I do need to sort out how to get it to get it to conform like shoes and boots to feet and toes: was that part of the functionality or is it just wishful thinking?

Okay, I guess I AM going to hijack this thread.
I had another read of your Obj2Cr2 page, Phil, but I'm still fairly unclear:

Ok, so where is the hierachy editor exactly? And how do i set up the CR2?
IK chains were turned off for this figure. The feet and toes of the figure move independently of the shoe. I do notice that selecting the foot-part of the shoe highlights the entire shoe part of the boot, including the toes. I might need to re-Obj2Cr2 this one.
BTW, when I work on models in Blender3D, they are matched to a zeroed V4 model (meaning, her toes are pointing downward. And then, that is how the boot is imported. Any suggestions about this approach?
Also, the toe part of the shoe appears a bit different to what it looked like in Blender3D.
I guess this is more a topic for your forum, though, maybe?

I realize the OP can't afford OBJ2CR2. But let me say this about it.
If I can figure OBJ2CR2 out, then anybody can :)
Would be up a smelly, stinky, brown (don't think I can say the under lying term here) creek without a paddle if I didn't have OBJ2CR2 in my poser arsenal.

Does anyone know how to convert dynamic clothing into conforming clothing?
