It's simple really. The blandness of beauty is easier to mar and freckle than it is to remove mars and freckles from an imperfect figure. We saw this with the Poser 6 figures especially clearly in James and Koji 1 who's built in muscle definition was so sharp you couldn't smooth it out for less muscley (Is that a word? Muscley?) figures.
