Quote - Random cr2 question of the day:
Does anyone know what exactly the 'algorithm 0' lines mean that Poser puts in some JP channels? More to the point: are those considered P4-save and do they do anything essential in current Poser versions?
The reason I'm asking: some of my JP channels were produced by D|S with a P4-compatibility settings, while others were written out by P8 and now PP2010. So some have the 'algorithm 0' line and some don't.
I don't see that line, in a quick check of .cr2 files which were loaded in my original Poser 4 installation, way back when. The line isn't mentioned in the Unofficial CR2 File Specification at kuroyumes-developmentzone.com, which was developed when P5 was standard.
I would guess that the line relates to the addition of new matsphere types in P8 and PPro'10.
If it's only present in some listings, too, I would assume that you can safely delete it from the base distribution file.

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking. He apologizes for this. He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.
Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below. His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.
