I've written a Python script, to make it easier to hide and show actors for a .pz3 save, to avoid the dropped ERC.  I'm making all of the hidden actors visible each time I save the scene, then hiding them again when I open it, later.  A bit of a PITA, but it's been working.  I can't think of a simpler approach to fixing the problem, so far.
