My setup is the same as Latexluv's. I have all versions from Poser 4 and upwards (except the two latest "pro" versions which I haven't got) and I use them for various things. Some of PhilC's python programs, like OBJ2CR2 is installed in an earlier version and running it from Poser 8 gives me a "this is not registred" error. And since it's easier to just fire up the older version than to look for the installation zips on my cd's... I do that rather than reinstall it L I'm lazy that way.
I've also sometimes used Poser 4 to strip out stuff like the Center of Mass thingies. The good thing about Poser is that even older versions can open new files, and whatever it doesn't understand, it just skips. That makes Poser amazingly backwards compatible.
