Everyone does stupid things.  Does this mean that, every time it happens, you should be inundated with every dumb thing you've ever done?  At some point, ya gotta freakin' drop it instead of holding EVERYTHING against EVERYONE.  Sheesh.

And yea I've been online ever since the good old Usenet days myself. Still use it for some specialized groups.
And no, it hasn't changed much, some people are apparently cowardly a-holes as soon as they're online, while most know how to conduct themselves. The first is what we commonly call trolls.
